Flower of the month

The birth flowers for April are two of my favorite flowers, the daisy and the sweet pea.

THE DAISY:

The daisy, particularly the ones that grow wild, that you see take over parks and fields pretty much at the beginning of spring will forever own my heart.

I remember the spring evenings in Italy when the days started to get a bit longer and we were allowed to stay up a little bit later so we could go downstairs and play with our friends after dinner. I remember the front and back yard to the apartment complex covered in daisies. I remember picking them to make crowns and to press them in between books.

The Daisy symbolizes innocence, loyal love, and purity.

THE SWEET PEA:

The other April flower is the sweet pea.

The sweet Pea symbolizes blissful pleasure, oddly enough it is also commonly gifted as a good- bye flower. .. Parting is indeed such sweet sorrow.
