Surviving the Stay Home Mandate

Surviving the Stay Home Mandate

I am sure at one point or another we all said” If I only have time I could…”

well here we are with nothing but time, and i seem to struggle to function.

I never realized how much work was a part of my daily routine..and my mental health for that matter. I really really, REALLY love working with flowers. I adore my messy little studio, and I feel as if I can’t breathe unless I am surrounded by a ton of plants.

I even miss the tourists with their crazy selfie sticks and their completely invasive videos.

Most of all I miss creating.

Two weeks have passed and no I have not completed my literary masterpiece, and no I have not fixed up every broken thing at home.

I did however decided not to go into full panic mode and take this time to rejuvenate my mind, and get myself ready for when we are allowed to come back to work.

This video made my wake up process a little easier.

Sleeping in was fun the first few days, but after a while I started feeling sluggish so I decided to start setting my alarm clock and get going. Yoga is always a peaceful and invigorating start to the day.

And to be honest a nice little break in between the gazillion new recipes I started cooking.

Hopefully by the time this stay home mandate is over I will not be twice my size :o(

I certainly does not help that my husband has a sweet tooth, and is a pretty good baker.

I will share some of his recipes in the next few posts, but I wanted to share for now the last flower delivery we made before having to shut down the studio.

I thought all considering the uncertainty and fear of this time, that it was pretty appropriate, needed maybe is a better word. Her reaction was pretty priceless as well.
