Sunday Vibes
Nothing tops a fully relaxing Sunday at home. …
A little morning Yoga, a hot cup of coffee …a whole lot of classic TV to keep me company as I take care of my little green buddies..( no I have not made it to the hundreds yet) and work on my weekly meal plant.
( Thank you #cookieandkate for the hummus recipe)
While i made the weekly rounds carefully inspecting the needs of each of my potted friend i notice that my beautiful little Bird’s Nest Fern happily turned one month old today! I am sure that to some of you this just sounds like a mere nothing but to me, life long fern killer, it is quite an ordeal!
I have been in love with ferns ever since i remember walking the street of our Mercato in Sarronno, the florist stand always carried lush bright toned gorgeous ferns that were just impossible to ignore.
And ever since I have lived on my own I think I tried so many times to live up my cemented cell with them…and failed every single time.
Maiden hair ferns are probably my favorite plants they are delicate, bright and lively….until they meet me. The strongest lasted 2 weeks. Boston ferns, Sword Ferns, you named it I have killed it, my husband now begs me to walk away from their section at the nursery pretty much admitting it is just inhumane for the plants at this point. At first I argues and the plant slaughter continued throughout the years…( 15 to be exact) and then I finally caved.
ZZ plants, Mother In Law Tongues , Pothos and Alocacias would have to do!
Until I spotted this little lettuce looking beauty while on my shopping rounds for the shop.
I shouldn’t have, but of course I did!
And I couldn’t be happier! She is alive and thriving bringing a touch of brightness and joy to my workspace, not to mention she is an air purifier plants…..

Stay tuned for the next upcoming post to learn a bit more about this gorgeous fern to see if it will be a great addition to your home as well.
