Amber And Josh's Old Town Wedding
It is such an amazing honor to get to be a part of someone's wedding day, and while I am always excited to have a chance to create magic for someone's big day, I don't often tear up at their event. Weddings are emotional to begin with, but I think in this case it was the fact that in the year of planning their wedding I felt as if I got to know the couple and their humble natures. They just blew me away and seeing them walking down the aisle just got to me!
One of the things Amber told me was that she was not scared of colors....what florist doesn't love this?!!
I knew I wanted to use Coral Charm Peonies and my favorite bright toned rose : "Free Spirit."
What I love about the is rose is not only the bright orange hue of its center but the frilly petals with pink edges that compliment the coral peonies so well, not to mention they are simper fragrant and hugely open.
We added a few pink-edged succulents in the mix for her bouquet, light pink astilbe, and then "Patience" Ivory garden roses and freesia for the extra sweet scent.
The Cosmopolitan Hotel/ Restaurant provided the perfect history filled backdrop for these amazing shots.
We kept it simple for the Groomsmen with orange spray roses and peach hypericum wrapped in charcoal grey to match their suites.
For the Bridesmaids bouquet we chose peach and orange tones we felt would stand out beautifully against their turquoise blue dresses. We used Carpe Diem Roses, Free Spirit Roses, peach Hypericum berries for textures and peach mini gerberas from our local grower Dramm And Etcher.
The more I look at these photos the more I realize how gorgeous Old Town is and how lucky I am to have my floral design studio located right in the heart of it.....
