Philodendrum Birkin

Philodendrum Birkin

If you are looking for an easy plant to care for that adds sticking variegations of colors to your room the Philodendron Birkin is exactly what you are looking for.

It is a definite beginner friendly plant and its leaves offer such a vast variation of tones from white to light green to deep forest green, and those gorgeous variegations are second to none!

WATERING:

The Birkin is a thirsty plant and likes to be watered as soon as the soil is dry.

If you're looking for a watering schedule to use for this plant, I would say water it once per week.

No matter what season it is , keep the soil moist, not wet, do not allow the plant to remain in dry soil too long.

LIGHT:

This plant doesn't like low-light situations.

A bright to medium bright room is perfect, keep it away from direct sunlight. When it doesn't get enough light you'll notice that the plant starts to grow towards a light source and the bright white lines on its leaves will start to fade to dark green.

FERTILIZER:

The Philodendron Birkin is a fast-growing house plant so it depletes nutrients out of the soil to grow new leaves. It needs to be fertilized regularly about once a month.

HUMIDITY:

The Birkin is a tropical plant and loves humidity. Make sure to keep it in a humid place. You can do this by misting it occasionally, but also by keeping it around other plants.
