My Internship with San Diego Floral Design

My name is Ashley, I am currently interning at the San Diego Floral Design at Old Town San Diego. I am a 12th grade student at High Tech High International in Point Loma. We are a project-based college preparatory charter school and as part of our core curriculum each student takes part in an academic internship. I started my internship on May 13, 2019 and it has been such a great experience as someone who’d want to learn how to own a business in the future and being able to have Fatima as a role model. Coming into the floral shop I had little to no experience on plant and flower management and my idea of being a florist wasn’t what I though it would be like. As I am now writing this on my second week of internship I have gained new skills in being patient, steady, quick, careful and most importantly .
