Autumn's Delight
The fall is here and as the temperature drops on the outside, we try to bring warmth inside our house with flowers in warm tones, extravagant textures, vibrant hues and yes sunflowers, especially here in California, one of the largest growers of this amazing flower.
This is one of my favorite designs - "Autumn's Delight"
First of all I love the use of the white glass vase, it is simple and elegant and being so neutral in color it can be reused for any occasions to come, but most of all it hides the construction of the vase.
The textural element of this design is spectacular and adds a fun element to the vase, celosia and safflowers are in contrast with the large sunflowers which serve as focus flower of the design.
For roses I used my favorite fall fair trade Ecuadorian rose: Leonidas which are a delicate brown and creme tone.
For accent greenery I chose scented geraniums, dusty miller and green hanging amaranths to add movement to the vase.
