Rose Highlight : Kahala Roses

Rose Highlight : Kahala Roses

I am sure by now you know that when it comes to roses I am pretty difficult to please. Roses are in general not my favorite flower mostly because they have become the easy way out flower, the thoughtless go to last resort in many occasions.

I tend to prefer arrangements of mixed flowers or lush mono- flower arrangements of wild flowers or peonies or lilacs depending on the season.

There are still however so many varieties or roses that are not very commonly seen that I simply adore because of their scent, or unique color or petal richness.

Kahala Rose

Meet the Kahala Rose.

Shaped like a garden roses, the Kahala Rose is a premium cut roses that is known for its rich petal count and its gorgeous apricot color that naturally fades to a pale peach center. They are long lasting roses and are quite frankly just breathtaking.

I like using them in the fall because of the brownish tone of the outer petals but I use it year round by itself or arranged because it just offers such richness to any arrangement.

It looks great with blush and burgundy flowers and lends a garden feel to any arrangement. We added it to Pink Mondial roses, burgundy orchids , peach stock , succulents and air plant in our “Garden Splendor” arrangement.

We also offer Kahala roses in a white cylinder vase as part of our “ Simply Elegant Rose Collection”

This particular design features 36 Kahala roses and is accented by dusty miller, we do however carry the smaller version which features 24 roses as well.
