Winter Musings

Winter Musings

The scent of fresh evergreens, the lit and decorated streets, the chilly (ok the weather did drop below 75 so I can say Chilly) evenings that make that fancy cup of Lavender Latte from La Parfait Paris that much tastier, the fun evening at the Ice Skating Rink in Liberty Station….and yes FRESH PEONIES!

I know you are probably thinking that peonies aren’t very Christmassy….but it is still too early for Christmas flowers, I just want to ease into the winter. . . and well yes if I could have peonies in every season I absolutely would .

But silliness aside I do really like the delicate whites and pinks and even peach tones with evergreens, they gift a delicate and feminine palette that works so well with many room decors and lend itself so well to many occasions.

“Winter Charm”

The next design follows a very similar palette with the introduction of a brighter element with the “Supergreen Roses” which I love because of their high petal count which helps adding an extra textural element to the design and because of the random hints of red in some of their petals.

What I really love about this design is the Anthurium, which is exotic and tropical but oddly enough lends itself so well to winter designs especially in this particular variety where its tones clearly scream Christmas to me.

The image below shows the arrangement in it’s Regular size, the next size up comes with three garden roses.

This arrangement is available for purchase here:
